The 4th of July - Once again, we went to Nonni and Papa's house for the 4th of July. The Jones' came again this year and we had a great time. The fireworks (that other people brought) were amazing. The ones we bought were... well... lame in comparison. Next year, we'll just be content to watch the amazing display that everyone else puts on. Patrice caught her leg on fire (momentarily) trying to make a Smore for Payton but no one was injured, just sticky.
Relay for Life - Karen (our neighbor and daycare provider) is heavily involved in Relay for Life. To show our support for her team, we went down to the event and dressed the kids up as a Princess and a Pirate (the relay theme was "the magic of relay"). We looked at all the booths but the most successful part of the outing was the kettle corn.
Other photos - Colt got a BIG bonk on his head. He was playing on the slide and accidentally got knocked down by one of the other kids. He hit his head pretty hard and got a BIG goose egg. He wanted to snuggle for a little bit, but actually got over it pretty quickly. I think it was harder on us as parents than it was for him. After dinner one night, we look over and PJ is doing this very interesting dance to some music that Colton was playing. The best part about it was her skirt that was tucked into her underwear. Classy. We also took PJ to her first movie in July. We went and saw Brave. She liked it but wasn't nearly as wowed as I had hoped she would be. And last in the photo reel, the Teshera's (neighbors) have a cool new slide in their backyard. Since we have a gate between our yards, the kids enjoy sneaking over to their house to play on it. Thanks Jim Teshera for building such a fun toy for my your kids!
