Wow, busy September. Ryan got called out to trap a cougar, she was pretty and much bigger and in better health than the last one. The weather was still really nice at the beginning of September. Peg and Patrice ran the Fairhaven Waterfront 15k, then headed down to Tang's house for an end of summer pool party. It felt great swimming after the run!
The following weekend, September 16th, we went down to Othello to go to the Rodeo with Ryan's family. PJ had a great time going to the fair and getting on the rides with her Cousins (Logan and Connor). PJ got to go in a haunted house, ride a roller-coaster, go on a giant slide and ride a pony. It was a great success.
Then the next weekend, September 25th, Patrice ran in the Bellingham Bay Marathon. It was an experience for sure. It was a very cold and windy day. The winds were 27 MPH gusts which made running difficult. Patrice finished in 4 hours and 46 minutes. Not as quick as she wanted to, but still finished so she was happy. Ryan and the kids came out to support Patrice along the way. At mile 14 Patrice and PJ got their picture taken by a photographer from the Bellingham Herald. The next day, the photo was on the sports page and took up 1/2 the page. It was a pretty cool way to memorialize the race.
